2 Part Technique - 2 Part Technique - An opponent with weak guard defense, oftentimes compensates with a strong frame to counter your pass from Half Guard. Deflect his resistance off of your shoulders and secure the gi version of Cross Arm Underhook & Head Control. The difference here is rather than holding the head, you instead control is other arm with Over Control to pass the Half Guard. It is important to lay heavy with your chest and hip so that any chance of him recovering his underhook back is null.
