2 Part Technique - Passing the Lockdown can be quite pesky and unenjoyable, especially when you don't know how to counter it. When you sense the danger of getting your leg entangled in this manner, try your best to hide your ankle from getting laced by pulling it upward. If it does get caught, use your other leg to kick it free. If you need more time to pass his Half Guard, settle into a turned-in base by slapping your foot to the mat and sliding it up to a full post. Once your foot is flat on the mat, you can either cut straight through with the Over Under Pass, or free your knee into the direction of the Mount, and then cut for the Knee Slide Pass.
