2 Part Lesson — Marcelo shares an important lesson when playing guard: [I] If your opponent tries to knock you flat with Double Underhooks against your Seated Butterfly Guard, quickly brace against his surge forward by placing your feet on his hips. Lock up his arms with Double Overhooks and kick out his knee to sweep him over into Mount or perhaps even Knee-On-Belly. [II] Crunch forward as you keep the opponent's hips away after he charges into you for a Bodylock; if he readjusts his base to prevent the first sweep, insert a Butterfly Hook and alternate sweeps in both direction until successful from the Double Overhooks.
