Standing Granby vs Back Bodylock → Hip Roll Escape vs Side Control → Back Door Escape vs Mount
4 Part Lesson — [I] Prevent getting slammed or having your knees jumped on by sitting down onto your opponent's Back Bodylock while you hold onto both of his wrists; use the momentum of your dropping weight to initiate a Granby Roll if you cannot readily break his grip. Recover back your guard if he lets go to stay on top or take the top position if he doesn't release the hold. [II] If your opponent sets you down onto your side before you can lift your hips up to invert, break his grip or wait for him to let go and clear his arm with your top leg into a Hip Roll Escape vs Side Control. [III] If your opponent steps over top into a Mount, reach underneath his leg with both arms and execute an escape Out-The-Back-Door. [IV] Bump the opponent straight overhead with your bridge to help project yourself away from the opponent while escaping out through the back door.
