2 Part Lesson -- Marcelo avoids letting his opponent stall inside Closed/Full Guard: Form a Cross-Grip on your opponent's sleeve and scrape away his or her fingers from your jacket as you tuck the wrist and seize 2on1 Control. Place your foot on the hip of the side you've cleared and use it to help free your hips for an attack. [03:42] If your feet are set on your opponent's hips when they try to hold you down with Double Underhooks, frame against their head and escape your hips; if you cannot find the grip to break, pedal your legs like riding a bicycle and frame the head until you can put your feet on the hips. Escape your hip, and chop down on the back side of your opponent's arm with your straightened leg for the Omoplata. Be careful not to break your partner's arm when practicing the swing down on the elbow with your leg.
