Collar Choke from Closed Guard
1 Part Lesson -- Paul shows how to apply a X-Choke (Cross Collar Choke): There exists an interplay between effective grips and the amount of slack in the opponent's jacket collar; sometime a seemingly deep and tight cross-collar grip will rob you of the ability to connect with your second, finishing grip. Here, Paul wrestles the opponent's head down to prevent posture and tension in the fabric. Insert your thumb inside of the jacket behind the nape of the opponent's neck and swivel your forearm back in front for the Katajujijime strangulation technique.
