Arm Trap from the Back, Rear Naked Choke

Marcelo sheds light on his method for finishing the rear naked choke from back control: Create an imbalance of forces in hand-fighting by temporarily trapping your opponent's arm with your leg; utilize your free leg, i.e. the top-side hook that isn't directly bearing your opponent's weight when they are turned onto their side. Don't telegraph your intentions by subtly pushing their arm down into the trap; instead, capture it with a single sudden thrust as you slip your hand back out for follow-up attacks. Quickly, work to gang-up on their remaining arm and prevent it from interfering with inserting your choking-hand across their neck for the full strangle. There are a variety of paths and variations dependent upon your lateral preferences, the side you are laying on during the attack, and your opponent's ability to appropriately resist with accurate defense.
