Seatbelt-Control from Back, Back-Control Recovery
Marcelo sheds light on an often game-changing detail for Back-Control: When holding your opponent from behind with Seat-Belt Control, it is imperative that you remain fixed in a chest-to-back connection; center your grip in the middle of your opponent's chest while squeezing tightly by keeping your elbows pulled back and away from your opponent's arms. If your far-elbow travels to far in front of your opponent, they may take advantage and hook it with their arm and attempt a steam-rolling escape out of the Turtle-Position. However, if you can keep your elbow tucked safely behind your opponent, if they roll over you can follow their path and recover your position or even advance toward setting Back-Hooks.
