Knee on Belly from Side Control, Far Side Armbar from Knee on Belly
Marcelo elicits a response from a defensive and passed opponent: Advancing to the Knee-on-Belly Position from Side-Control will oftentimes provoke your opponent into reacting in a predictable manner that can then be taken advantage of for a submission; if your opponnent is content being held down with Under-Hook and Head-Control, pop up into Knee-Mount and wait for them to open their elbow and push off your knee. Fence your hand through the gap at their elbow and collect their far-side arm into an Under-Hook once again; however, once you've pummeled the Under-Hook, bring your far-knee back down to the mat so that your weight doesn't teeter over to far across their center-line. Use your Under-Hook to yank your opponent up onto their side, chambering their arm onto your lap and wedging it against your shoulder. While remaining crouched, duck-walk north around their head towards their far-side until you can throw your shin vertically into ther arm-pit and fall back with their arm in full extension. Bring their hand towards the side of your hips closest to their legs to prevent them from hitch-hiking into an escape. Keep your straight-leg heavy across their head to stop them from sitting up and gaining elevation for a counter. Control their wrist and bridge your hips behind their elbow to get the finish.
