2 Part Technique - Feigning with the sweep from Butterfly Guard will oftentimes incite the opponent react in a predictable manner that will expose himself to a submission. If he buys into your hook sweep bluff, you can capitalize on the space he creates around his arm after he posts in defense by transitioning into the Omoplata. Brace your feet against his hips to stop any forward pressure and apply Collar and Elbow Control. Pretend to hook sweep without blocking his arm from posting, latch onto his posted arm with both hands, shift your hips to opposite side, swing your leg onto his shoulder toward the mat, and chase a lock around his far shoulder to finish with your original intention. If he yanks his arm out of your double elbow grip before you can transition to the Omoplata, he leaves a moment for you to sit up into Collar and Elbow Control and hit the Short Hook Sweep.
