2 Part Technique - After breaking off your opponent's collar grip from his Knee Slide attempt, he may sprawl on your leg into a fold pass if you look to lift him with your hook. Prevent him from circling around to side control, and use your reverse butterfly hook to enter into either 1Leg X or Partial X -- depending on whether you catch his ankle with an underhook or overhook; overhook for 1Leg X-Guard, underhook for Partial X-Guard. If his base is too heavy to lift, generate some extra momentum by turtling over slightly on your shoulder, so you can fall back flat with more speed for the entry. If he happens to get his Folding Pass, turn over just as before, but this time swing your leg around to recover the guard with the Hip Roll Escape.
