Counter to Seatbelt Control, Body Triangle Escape, Stand Up Escape vs Back Control
2 Part Technique - Get your hands underneath your opponent's Seatbelt to pry it open and allow your shoulders to slide onto the mat for the escape. If you have the opportunity, choose the side of his non-choking arm to escape your shoulder; but, if he keeps you from this side, drop your shoulders to the mat by removing his arm out of the way with both of your hands: Hold onto his wrist as if it is your only chance to escape the Back. Keep your hips elevated throughout, to ensure that you have the space to recover guard if he transitions for the Mount. Ideally, wind up on top after escaping the Back. This can be accomplished by standing up with the opponent while holding his arm over your shoulder. Try spinning him off of your back as he tries to hold onto his Body Triangle, and avoid falling into his guard.
