3 Part Technique — Paul identifies the keys to escaping the Back when his opponent has Seatbelt Control. If you can manage your shoulder free and are close to the 'Escape-Side' of the Seatbelt, raise your hips into the air and slide your back onto the mat, dropping back down into Single-Leg X-Guard. If the Seatbelt proves difficult to escape, try breaking apart his grip by inserting your forearm between his hands and pushing outward. If this doesn't work, and if you find yourself without the ability to bring your shoulder to the mat, duck out the Seatbelt and spin back into his guard for the escape.

It makes me upset I haven't been watching Paul's instructional videos for the past few years after watching this one haha.

Paul gave a similar class last year, and Ryan Hall's comment after was "you guys just got the best back escape instruction I've ever seen."  Thanks Paul!
