3 Part Lesson — Marcelo describes various instances in which he can attack the Back with Seatbelt Control after his opponent rolls from the Turtle Position: [I] After the roll, avoid letting your opponent place you in Reverse Side Control and recover back the top position by bridging or bellying-down and set in your hooks. [II] If your opponent is too strong to pull back with your Seatbelt Control, let him pull your back off the mat to sit upright. Gain 1on1 Wrist Control, separate your legs, and post behind you to avoid Reverse Side Control. Capture his arm in the crucifix, regain the top position on your knees, and attack his neck with the choke. [III] If you cannot get to the Crucifix, keep vigilant over any opportunities to attack the neck with a Collar Choke. As the opponent moves his arms to defend, tighten the choke up and follow him back up to the Turtle Position. Before he has a chance to roll and undo the choke, dive over his body and catch his leg for the Cradle Choke.
