Mount, Spiral Armbar from Mount Control
3 Part Lesson — Marcelo describes how to deal with an opponent under Mount who is hiding the space around his arms from attack: [I] While laying your hips heavily, use your chest to smush the opponent's hands outside where you can then trap his arm, cupping behind the tricep and driving your knee up alongside as you pull, stepping up into Reverse Technical Mount for the Spiral Armbar. [II] If your opponent decides to clasp his hands together behind your back, recline back to set your feet forward, driving your weight into his stomach, and push against his face to break his hold. [III] If the opponent grabs onto the inside of his thigh as a last ditch effort to prevent you from finalizing with the Spiral Armbar, simply use your posting hand to pop his knee back as you shift your hips forward against the grip.
