Leg Pull vs Deep Half Guard, Spiral Armbar from Mount

2 Part Technique - Control the opponent's arm in Deep Half Guard for security. He will need that arm to establish the sweep. Commonly the opponent will anticipate every technique, except you pulling your foot straight out. After your pull, the opponent's reaction will determine which side you establish on. This maneuver can surprise your opponent and leave his arm vulnerable to a submission. Step inside to prevent the opponent from recovering guard, pull the arm to your hip, and spiral to the armbar.

It's awesome to see how so many of Marcelo's defenses to more "complicated" guard games like Deep Half, Inverted Guard, De La Riva, etc are pretty straightforward and simple.  I really like the transition to the spiral armbar too- very sneaky stuff.
