2 Part Lesson — Paul shows two instances of smashing the opponent's guard; one as a pass after breaking the Closed Guard, and the other after defending an Armbar: [I] Gain upright posture, gather both lapels, turn your elbow outward, lean to the side, step past the hipline, pivot off the ball of your other foot, brace into his hip and extend your legs for the break. Dive both arms underneath his legs, capture the lapel, lift his hips up like pouring a bucket filled with water, use your knee to hold his hips up, keep your head above his, and enjoy the moment before settling into Side Control. [II] If the opponent launches an Armbar attack from the Closed Guard, block your arm from extending with a figure-four grip and catch the back of his knee with your hand to prevent him from biting down on your head. Slide forward, but not to the point of off-balancing yourself, and wiggle or yank your arm free from the danger. Once free, make grips on his pant leg for the Leg Drag Pass.

Tech #1, after pass I'm heading right to the N/S choke.  Great lesson!  So many options to take away from it!
