2 Part Lesson — Marcelo unbuckles Seatbelt Control: [I] Use your armpit to hold your opponent's underhook and prevent him from readjusting his control; utilize a frame from inside the loop of the Seatbelt to bust open his grip and capture the wrist of his choking arm. Pass your head underneath his arm and look to twist back into his guard or escape to recover back your own. [II] It is important to bridge your hips up off the mat, despite slowing down your spin; if he decides to climb back up on top toward Mount, the bridge not only increases his travel path but also leaves you room to drop your hips in escape if you cannot remain on top.
