Guard Recovery → Hook Sweep vs Body Lock from Side Control
2 Part Lesson — Marcelo recovers from the Reverse Side: [I] If your opponent gets around your waist on a pass but hasn't knocked you flat, keep upright by posting your arm outside and use either of your feet to hook inside and pull you back to Butterfly with Underhooks. Keep your forearm blocking his neck as a frame to maintain enough distance to recover your legs back inside. [II] If you miss the Collar Tie, cup his lat muscle inside his armpit and get your top hook inside for a Reverse Hook Sweep/Hook Lift. You may not sweep, but at the very least you can create enough space to recover.
