2 Part Lesson -- Marcelo teaches his signature Farside Armbar: Use the Americana (Shoulderlock; Keylock, Bent-Armlock, Udegarami, et al.) to force your opponent's arm away from his/her centerline so that you can capture it onto your shoulder. Use your head to help scoop up the arm and prevent them from resetting, but be careful not to place too much wait to the opposite side. Pull them onto their side and swing your foot across their chest as you fall back with the arm. Square up your hips and pull the arm into hyperextension along the side of your lap closest to the opponent's legs. [04:25] Try your best to not use your arm as a post to sit down on the far-side. Your arm is best used to prevent your opponent from connecting his or her hands together to prevent the extension.
