Back Step Reset vs De La Riva, Back Step Pass vs Inverted Open Guard, North South Choke vs Half Guard
2 Part Lesson - As the opponent spirals underneath you, base against his inversion and prevent his free leg from crossing. Reset back into his guard or react against his movement towards your back by anchoring into the position of Back Step vs Half Guard. If the opponent wraps around you, beating your Half Guard connection, control his upper body by Under Hooking differently. As the opponent attempts to pull you on top from Half Guard and flattens his back to the mat, use the North South Choke as a passing control.
