Sprawl vs Takedown, Taking the Back from Front Headlock, Crucifix vs Takedown from Front Headlock, Rear Naked Choke from Crucifix Position
3 Part Lesson — Marcelo demonstrates how to properly take the Back after a Sprawl: [I] Throw your hips back and down the moment you notice your opponent change his level and drive forward for a shot. Capture the Front Headlock to stabilize the position and continue sprawling your legs away until the opponent loses his grips. Wing your elbow inside, tucking the opponent's arm alongside his head, and spin around his shoulder, entering your knee inside the cleared space behind his arm for the Seatbelt. Once you have the Seatbelt, you can flip him back and set your hooks or even lock on the Crucifix for the Rear Naked Choke. [II] If your opponent is adamant about holding onto your legs from the Turtle Position, time his grasp and bit over his arm with your leg directly into the Crucifix. All that remains is to spin around the arm and obtain the Seatbelt. [III] If your opponent insists on driving into your sprawl, perhaps to test it's strength, whip his head offline and dodge his shot, landing directly onto the Seatbelt.
