Stacking Pass vs Open Guard
1 Part Lesson — Paul provides two great details for preserving the Stacking Pass: [I] Avoid allowing your opponent to increase his chance of escape from the Stacking Pass by counter-intuitively running yourself backward away from the pass when his hips begin to misalign from parallel to the mat. You always want to position yourself in a way that makes establishing Side Control on your opponent directly available from the pass while your opponent is resting/accepting. If your opponent posts against your hip to stop your from melting through, wiggle your hip against his frame to deflect it and land in Side Control.
