2 Part Lesson — Marcelo counters Deep Half: [I] If your opponent takes advantage of your base after you step up from kneeling to gain mobility by diving under your hips and catching your leg, post your hands on the mat to push yourself back and find a Crossface. [II] If you miss the Crossface and he has pulled you too far, let the opponent pull you all the way across his body and land on the opposite side with your hip down on the mat, swinging your leg over his face; look to pummel for an Underhook upon landing. Use your free foot to kick your leg free to pass his guard with the Leg Over Pass. If your opponent is adamant about trapping your foot while you are hurdled, keep resolved and wait him out until he tires if you have enough time and are up on points.
