Under Hook and Head Control from Side Control > Side Control to North South > Knee on Belly
2 Part Lesson -- Marcelo explains what he means when he tells competitors to "keep moving" during a match: If your opponent is waiting for you to let up and release pressure so that he or she can take your space and escape, don't concede to this strategy. Instead, create motion and make it clear that you are active while still keeping your opponent away from escape or recovery. If holding Munegatame (a.k.a Chest-Hold, Side Mount, Cross-Sides Top w/ Underhook & Head Control, et al.) switch grips for Kuzure-Kamishihogatame and run through the North/South Position (Kamishihogatame) to the opposite side. Press your shoulders and chest tightly against the opponent's upper body by driving off of your toes. [03:27] Avoid making a transition anywhere behind th opponent's belt-line; otherwise you run the risk of allowing for a successful guard recovery. If your opponent is ready to burst out the moment you switch your grips to change sides, opt to pop up for Ukigatame (a.k.a Knee-Mount, Knee-On-Belly, Knee-On-Stomach, Joelho-na-Barriga, etc.) and score two points. Make a grip on the shoulder and grab both the belt and surrounding material to secure yourself in the position. Don't lean forward and give your opponent an opportunity to reverse you from the top position.
