2 Part Lesson -- Marcelo escapes the Triangle: Make a grip on the same-side lapel of your opponent with the arm caught inside of the Triangle. Reinforce your grip by doubling up on top with your outside hand and create a frame against your opponent's hips. Build your posture up and wedge your knee on the same side as your trapped arm. Wait out your opponent until the lock loosens up enough for you to reinsert your outside arm back inside the guard, or take out the trapped arm from the inside of the Triangle. [05:17] If your opponent holds your head while still inside, use your outside hand to knock off your opponent's arms before returning back to the frame. Don't hold your head forward where you can fall over; keep your weight back as you push with your arms.
