2 Part Lesson — Marcelo recovers and sweeps from a near-pass: [I] If your opponent tosses your legs out of the way and lands with a Bodylock on your side, sit up and place your elbow inside as a collar-tie/frame. Use the frame to swing your legs away from his knees and either pummel yourself back to your feet or use the space to recover back your guard. [II] If you cannot replace your guard or get to your feet, utilize the frame to create enough space to slip your hand in from above; next, dig under his arm as you fall with your back flat on the match. Lock your hands together on the far side of his face and keep your legs elevated to prevent the mount. Cut your shin inside his hip and recover Half Guard; from there, use your Underhook & Head Control to flip your opponent to the opposite side for the sweep.
