Armbar from Mount, Breaking Grips from Armlock, Maintaining the Armlock Position
2 Part Lesson — Marcelo explains how to bust a common Armbar Defense and shows Armlock maintenance against strong opponents: [I] If your opponents defends the Armbar by clasping his arms together, use your free hand to strike his far elbow with your palm as you lean your weight backwards. Repeatedly pop his arm until his grip breaks and finish the Armbar by pulling his wrist down toward the side of his legs. [II] If you notice your opponent positioning his legs for a Stacking Counter, immediately snag his pants with your free hand and pull his leg into your arm to cradle him in a Spider-Web (10th Planet JJ). If you miss his nearside leg and he turns over onto his knees, quickly grab the opposite leg and chuck him back over onto his back.
