Back Escape
2 Part Lesson — Paul reviews the most basic Back Escape: [I] When confronted with the Seatbelt, fall to the side of your free shoulder and use your hand to loosen free your other shoulder so that it can land on the mat. Once both shoulders are planted, continue raising your hips in an arch until you can drop down, using the momentary gap to recover guard. [II] If your opponent's head is blocking your pathway to the mat for your shoulders, maneuver your grips to block the choke and push his head out of the way with your arm.
