Over Under Control, Paper Cutter Choke
1 Part Technique - The Paper Cutter Choke, aptly named for it's resemblance to the chopping device, is an excellent option for when your opponent prevents you from transitioning to the Farside Overhook Armbar, by locking around your body. When this occurs, scissor your legs so that your base drops onto his arm and exposes his neck. Beforehand, anchor yourself to his side by guiding the four fingers of your non-overhook hand into the back of his collar. Now, sink a deep grip on his farside lapel, and bring your forearm across the side of his throat. Increase the pressure of the choke by sprawling your leg on the side of the choke, i.e. keep your toes from posting and thus wasting weight into the mat.
