Osotogake vs Kuchikitaoshi
2 Part Lesson — Marcelo utilizes Judo to counter a wrestling takedown: [I] If your opponent grabs your collar/lapel and he shoots onto your leg while you break his grip, keep both of your hands on his wrist and sprawl your leg back away from his Single. Drop your arm on his head/shoulder to use your weight into the Sprawl to help break his grip on your pants. If he still has a hold of your pants, pummel for an underhook to help pull him off of your leg in the Sprawl. [II] If your opponent picks your leg up off the ground while you try to sprawl and break his collar grip, avoid letting him place your leg in between his knees or switching it off to a Double. Cross your foot to the outside and hook behind your opponent's calf as you push him backwards for either Osotogari or Osotogake (depending on whether or not your foot clips his leg from the ground or merely blocks it from stepping back). You can even switch your grips from the break to a more conventional throwing control to finish the counterattack.
